I’ve had such a strong pull on my heart this year to celebrate the strong women that put all they are into motherhood. Last year, I mentioned to a dear friend that I was looking to take my work in a direction that added to my wedding photography, that was meaningful both to me and to those wanting to hold onto an important moment in their lives through art.
Maternity photography is unique. It captures a fleeting, short period of time. Life can go any way that God intends it to, but these images allow mothers to look back on this brief time when they carried their baby. There is no bond like this one in the entire world, and I get to be the lucky one to preserve these moments.
For Kylie & Steve’s portraits, we started with some in-home photographs (see adorable dog!) and then ventured to the incredible Valley Rock Inn in Sloatsburg, New York. I loved spending time with them and am hopeful to go back to the area again soon. I can’t think of two people better matched and in love to create a strong foundation for their little one to come. Here are some of my favorites from our day.
