Sometimes the person that you end up with is the one who was there all along. This is the story of Colette and Nick: friends for life, and at some point realized that they wanted to make each other laugh forever. When Colette reached out to me about her wedding photos, I was simply overjoyed. About a decade ago, I was teaching dance classes at Loyola College in Maryland, and Colette was in one of my classes. She was a super talented tap dancer and one of the kindest souls I had met during my college years. Seeing her so happy with Nick and watching them plan their wedding ten years later has been such a cool experience.
For their engagement session, we ventured to my favorite place in Westchester: the old trestle bridge in Yorktown. I grew up in Yorktown, and to this day, I’ll meet my mom on the trail for a walk after work in the summer. It is a place of quiet reflection, stillness, and beauty. When I’m there, I truly feel home. Because winter has basically taken over our spring in New York, I can’t say that it was a warm day, but it was full of love and laughter. The best part? Colette wore her MOM’s wedding dress for the shoot! Just a stunning addition and meaningful tribute!
Colette and Nick, I am so blessed to be your wedding photographer and am very excited to share some highlights from your engagement session! Cheers, my friends.
