It was the moment they had waited for. Chrissy stepped out from behind the white curtains arm-in-arm with her father and started the walk down the aisle to her soulmate. When their eyes met, everything else melted away. It still surprises me when I’m hit with raw emotion during a wedding day; maybe because I should be “used to it” by now. But Chrissy’s walk down the aisle to Joe at Twin Lakes at their wedding ceremony was one of those times. It was in that moment that I was lucky enough to witness true love. Two people who complimented each other so lovingly, and who also were genuinely EXCITED to be spending their lives together.

Chrissy and Joe share something with me; we LOVE the outdoors. It’s part of who I am, and it’s no wonder that we connected before their incredible day. Twin Lakes in Hurley, New York was THE perfect place for a picturesque, outdoor, rustic wedding day. Every detail was thoughtful and had a hand-crafted and stunning touch.

I can’t pinpoint my favorite part of their wedding day; it keeps changing! From their beautiful lakeside ceremony to getting to know their families and bridal party (love them all!), to their EPIC first dance (E-P-I-C, like #goals, people), to their family dancing to a song I can only describe as a modern-day polka and one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen, to watching 80 people execute the Wobble in the greatest flash mob, to Chrissy ICING Joe with the garter toss, this is exactly what my soul needed. It was a tough September for me with the loss of a dear friend, and I honestly felt like this wedding wrapped its arms around me with comfort, joy, and everything in between.

Chrissy and Joe, thank you for sharing your day with us. Thank you for being the type of bride and groom that we pray for. I could not be more excited to share your big sneak peek with you as you return from your honeymoon! Cheers, friends.
