Kathy took a deep breath and looked over the railing from the second story of the porch. This was it; the moment that she and Tom would share their “first look” together before the rush of friends and family set in. Once she saw her groom from up above, she could not get down the stairs fast enough to embrace him. This was just the beginning of their perfect wedding day in the Berkshires, in the place that brought their hearts together.
The strength of Kathy and Tom’s love and the phenomenal people that they brought together for their day was what struck me most on that June day. Tom’s family and friends traveled all the way from the U.K. to see this extraordinary moment unfold, and I could not have been happier to meet everyone. Kathy and Tom also chose to do their parent dances with both of their parents, which I absolutely loved. It was a true testament to the fact that raising children is a complete family effort. In the end, I will never forget the laughs, gorgeous scenery of one of my favorite places on earth, and the love that Kathy and Tom have for each other to get through any of life’s challenges. Cheers to you both!
