I have been extremely fortunate to witness the excitement and anticipation that comes with preparing for a family’s first baby and it’s honestly nothing short of magic. Knowing that within just a few weeks, you will meet the person that will complete your little family is a feeling that I could not even begin to fathom.
You can imagine how floored I was when Christine and Rich approached me about photographing this important time in their lives – just a few weeks before the arrival of their beautiful baby boy. Christine and I come from the same big Italian family, and I was so blessed to reconnect with her a few years ago and really have the pleasure of getting to know her. She is someone I look up to, and we share the same feelings on a lot of issues. It’s like hanging with an old friend I’ve known my entire life.
For their maternity portraits, we ventured to Glen Island Park, which definitely has a ton of beautiful diversity. There is an old fortress still intact on site, which we of course took advantage of! The colors of the almost-spring sunset were also unreal. I cannot wait to meet the baby and am so thankful to have had this opportunity. Here are some favorites.
